- 4/26 7:10 am - Tight audio
Never heard from the seniors
Would have loved some cutaways, and more variety of b-roll
- 4/26 2:24 am - I am impressed by what you accomplished with this piece. Shooting a one-time event away from your home base adds obstacles that you overcame quite well. The variety of content in your visual and audio tracks left me feeling like I was with you on this field trip!
* Colorful b-roll from a number of perspectives
* Effectively structured.
* Short musical interludes functioned nicely as transitional elements between interviews
* Emphasis placed on the impact of this event
* Energy and sincerity are communicated in this piece.
Some audio distortion and slightly unsteady camera work, but I can accept this given the conditions under which you shot this piece.
- 4/23 3:00 pm - Good nat sound at the start. I like the shots that you get of the kids performing. I wish there were more close up shots used during the course of the story. I can tell that some of the sound it over modulated and that is distracting. Great job on the framing of the interviews, and keeping everything in focus. I find that the video matches well with the audio, which helps to make the story more engaging.
- 4/9 1:58 pm - The natural audio from the singing really carries the package and gives the video depth. Be sure to get a good mix of framing, camera movements, and angles when gathering b-roll. The audio of the interviews and natural sound is mixed very well. The ending bus scene audio might be peaking a bit, but that is really my only complaint with the audio. Overall, the video is shot and edited well and gives the viewer a good idea of the traveling show!
- 3/10 11:33 am - MATCHING SPECIFIC LINES IN TRAX TO SPECIFIC SHOTS - ESPECIALLY WHEN THOSE LINES ARE VERY SHORT - IS RISKY AND SELDOM PAYS-OFF.
0:47 INTO THE PKG AND ALL WE’VE SEEN ARE WIDE OR MEDIUM SHOTS, NONE TIGHT.
0:55 - NO WAY TO READ MORE THAN FOUR WORDS ON THAT SIGN.
1:18 - NOT MUCH RELEVANT OVER HIS SHOULDER.
NEED TRANSITION TO BUS.
OVERALL TECHNICALLY-SOUND BUT REALLY NEEDED FRAMING VARIETY. NO TIGHT SHOTS (OTHER THAN INTERVIEWS).

Positives: I like that you used lots of different shots to show what was being talked about
Interviews are shot really well. Good framing using what was in the background
Good job keeping the nats under throughout the piece
Improvements: You had a great mix of student and administrator interviews but I would have liked a few more breaks for nat pops. I saw people clapping several times but never heard them
We never heard from any of the residents. Were you allowed to interview them? Did they enjoy the show?
Some of your shots were a little shaky. Did you use a tripod the whole time? Its very difficult and takes years of practice for off the shoulder shooting

Positives: - Love how you spoke to a variety of people. Not only the traveling show but the people who are experiencing it first hand.
- Good variety of camera shots. It was great to film the dancers from the side on a tight angle, and then a wide angle from a different direction
Improvements: - Some of the audio was overmodulated under the assistant principal's interview. Just watch the levels!
- Find an emotional bite and put it closer to the top -- Think the girl at the end say it was her favorite day of the year. If that's up higher, I want to stick around to find out why.

Positives: Great job of establishing the tone of the story right away using the bus engine as the words "traveling show" are said.
Great use of putting video over the interview so as they are explaining traveling show I am seeing the different elements.
Improvements: I would have some more sequences in the story. A medium to tight shot of the bells jingling or the feet tapping.
Use a tripod. I some shaky shots. If you have to freehand it, then use a stabilization element to help lessen the shake.
