From the mountain tops of Utuado, Puerto Rico, an adventure was experienced while shooting this commercial of a glamping site. Though, the commercial was really to promote a tourism company called "Walter Sites" that happens to cover the entire island of Puerto Rico.
Positives: Great variety of camera angles - I like the mix between authentic lifestyle (shooting between the wood poles) and the drone shots. Music was appropriate and added an authentic Puerto Rico feel.
Improvements: Would have liked to know a bit more about the site - where in PR it's located and how easy is it to get to? Also showcasing activities around the camping site would enhance the messaging of the commercial - meaning the site has more to offer than just a place to glamp.
Positives: The spot features beautiful landscape and some of the shots look very high quality. Stable camera work. Nice music choice for the client, seems as though it suits the ethnicity of the locale.
Improvements: There's not enough information in the spot for anybody to tell what's being advertised. The "Reservations?" line at the end can have a different meaning (i.e., concerns, hesitations?), that's not advantageous to your client. It could have been interesting to do a juxtaposition between regular camping and glamping to help sell the service, or include some basic copy that says what the glamp sites offer.
Positives: outstanding opening shot! great depth of field on all shots sound effects are a nice touch along with the music track. REALLY good cinematography--composition, etc... Nicely done!!
Improvements: unsure what I'm supposed to do at the end? Give me some visual cues along the way... "glamorous sites"--"Beautiful scenes" -- "nature at its finest"...things like that to get me thinking I want this! Also, unsure why I'm calling--are you gonna take me on a tour? Is it a hike? This could have used a VO for sure--a rich deep voice with an accent would have sealed the deal!
Positives:
