The Salvation Army bells never stop.
Positives: -Great writing...loved the line "change put inside helps to change lives." -Awesome use of natural sound- this guy is so great and his nat pops of "merry christmas" and "thank you" really add to his character. Not to mention, great use of a central character. That really works with the overall storytelling. -Love that he was also interviewed while in action! His bites felt so natural.
Improvements: -Just a few moments that could've been a little smoother: during Betsy's interview, I liked the bells were still in the background, but bring that level down just a tad. It was a little distracting, especially since it didn't match what we were seeing. Also at the end, when you say the sound of the bell stops, fade it out more so it's less abrupt of a stop. (but that is an extremely nitpicky reccommendation) -Shot variance was good, and did a good job of matching track, but mix it up even more! Tighter shots of his face, his hand, change dropping in, would've brought this story to even the next level.

Positives: Touching piece. Well written. Good bites. Good choice of subject. Great read by Tessa. Good nat sot pops. We pass these bell ringers all the time but have not idea who they are or why they do what they do. So it was refreshing to get the story behind the volunteer.
Improvements: Perhaps Tessa could have added some factual info on the number of people needing help in the community and the amount of money raised by bell ringers at this time of the year. It would have been nice to see a couple of shots of the food pantry.
