Entry Description

A PSA focusing on the issues distracted passengers and phone use brings to the local communities and how to prevent the worst outcomes. Music obtained by BenSound.com in which our school has a paid license for us to use.

• 4/25 7:18 pm - I liked your closing pan and fade to show the red hat. It was a nice way to end this PSA! This is a very relevant and important message to share with teens. Well done!
• 4/22 12:25 pm - I see two different PSAs here and think they could be separated. The red hat at the end is subtle, but you are working with a visual medium where you could have the boy with the red hat on for longer on the screen.

Judge 1

Positives: Good camera work. Audio and lighting well done.

Improvements: Story was a bit confusing. I knew what you were after but I don't think viewers unaware of topic would have grasped it immediately.

Judge 2

Positives: Using the hat as a symbol of what happened was a good idea, and the final shot let's you know about the accident in a simple, visual way.

Improvements: Did the boy back up and hit the other boy in the red hat? What is Ashley's relationship to either of them? There's a big disconnect between the opening scene of the girls in the car and the story of the distracted driver in the following scenes.

Improvements: Nat sounds would help in beginning. Add where you got the statistic? Maybe tell me where to go to get more help/info?
