4/10 10:08 pm - The trailer was nicely done from a production standpoint. Good cinematography, sound and editing. Music and pacing were good. Very well done. In terms of the story, you did a good job introducing Eve and introducing the conflict and building rising action. My issue with the trailer is that the conflict of a girl dreaming to get into her dream school isn't enough to hook me. Forgive my bluntness but it's a bit superficial. I would be more interested in knowing what she's sacrificed or is willing to sacrifice to get what she wants. What has she done to push toward her dream? The trailer needed a sense of that to get it away from superficial territory and into more nuanced conflicts and character developments. Overall, this trailer has everything going for it save the story. Wonderful job with production and post. Work your stories a bit harder. Have more to tell and this would have been top notch. Keep working!
3/27 5:00 pm - Nice trailer. The audio sounded very professional- well done! The editing was crisp, cut quickly, and gave us a good sense of the chaos that was going on in the story. Good shots throughout as well. Just not sure where the movie is going. I mean, I get the premise, but the trailer stops short of telling us what the movie is going to be about. Adding a bit more and diving into more of what we will see in the movie would make this top notch.
3/4 9:58 am - Great voiceover. The fast forward of future events could have uses a sound effect. Nice camera work and editing. Good trailer.
2/26 12:29 pm - Story: simple and effective. You established the character and her predicament. The hook to watch the movie was okay, but I'm not sure what the rest of the movie would have in store for the audience. Is the story going to be about her crisis and its resolution? Or is it about her making a major life change and realizing that life is more than just college choices. A few more sound bites from other characters during that montage might have helped hook the audience a bit more.
Camera: camera work was very strong; nice compositions and variety of shots and angles. Smooth camera movement.
Editing: you clearly have a strong grasp of editing - you conveyed a tremendous amount of story and character information in a short amount of time. Your sense of pacing is strong, your ability to use visual and audio elements separately and yet bring them together is great.
