• 4/23 7:06 am - Overall a good story. Nice use of the natural audio throughout. The story felt rushed - the editing of the VOs and SOTs were tight - let the story “breathe” just a bit. Let a natural pause happen between VOs and SOTs and then from SOTs and VOs. While you had great b-roll, some of it was very quick and contributed to making the story feel rushed. Let the viewer see Tyler’s full swing instead of cutting it off after he makes contact with the ball.

Judge 1

Positives: -Great writing and use of natural sound off the top!! You only have a few seconds to capture the viewers attention, and that was definitely successful here -Great nat throughout the piece -Really creative ending shot -Loved the quick pace of this story -Energy of the track matched the story tone! -The interviews were well done. The framing looked great, the shots were pleasing to the eye, the variance of background and interview subjects all flowed with this piece

Improvements: -Some of the shots felt a little staged, it was hard to tell if one or two of them were -This is super nitpick, but a few moments of audio could've been edited a little more smoothly. There was a few moments where the audio was a little jarring -Sports have a lot fo opportunity or sequencing because there's a lot of repeated action. There was some attempt here, but definitely could've been improved and it would've pulled this story together even more
