Live event sports coverage from the Hinkle Holiday Classic in Alqonquin, IL. Student director Matthew Koss (South Elgin High School) overseeing the student crew and calling the shots for this game.

• 4/25 8:02 pm - Really enjoyed the Play-by-Play announcer in this. He knew the players names, described the action really well and didn't go overboard on his calls. The technical side was quite strong as well, action followed nicely and a good attempt to isolate the scorer right after a basket was made.
• 4/23 7:53 am - 0:05 - TIGHT SHOT OF PLAYERS AFTER A BASKET IS ALWAYS A HERO SHOT OF THE PLAYER THAT JUST MADE THE BUCKET - NOT THE PLAYER BRINGING THE BALL ACROSS THE TIMELINE. WHEN IT WAS USED PROPERLY ON NEXT PLAY, THE CAMERA OP HAD A HARD TIME FRAMING AND KEEPING PACE. HAVE INEXPERIENCED OPS WIDEN OUT A BIT UNTIL THEY GET BETTER. REPLAYS SHOULD BE CLEAN, WITHOUT CHYRONS. GOOD ANNOUNCER ENERGY & KNOWLEDGE. USE FLOOR CAM FOR VARYING ACTION ANGLES - NOT JUST HUDDLES.
• 3/5 10:02 am - Hero camera needs to be a little wider on the shot to make it a tad bit easier to follow the player as they are running down the court. Nice graphics in and out of the replay. Nice job by the announcers telling the story of the game - good enthusiasm, good enunciation.

Positives: Talent was excellent. Nice use of energy, analysis, play-by-play and giving us quite a bit of interesting info behind what the viewer was watching.

Improvements: Camera work was a bit shaky and some of the "hero" shots after baskets were a little out of focus and low in the frame.

Judge 3

Positives: Great energy from the announcers. Makes it sound exciting. Also, a Rajon Rondo reference is fun. This a strong presence. In addition, the announcers are talking to each other. Really nice to hear. You got a sponsor on a replay wipe and a promo in. The network executives are thrilled. :)

Improvements: Why did we cut to the visiting player after the first basket? It seems a little random. The score bug is a little late on the made baskets.
