  • 4/26 7:11 am - Great job breaking up the interviews with B-Roll, nice bridging with the broll/voice overs Natural sound packages usually don’t have a narrator, but in this story I do Great visuals All of your broll is cover shots, give me some close ups
  • 4/26 1:57 am - I am wondering if this piece was supposed to be entered in a different category. I am confused by the narration. Continue to work collecting and incorporating compelling b-roll material. Since you shot your b-roll at a practice, you had the ability to place your camera in some creative positions. Take advantage of this. Give your viewers perspectives they ordinarily do not see when they watch people play tennis. You even may want to set up your microphone in places that will capture the sounds of the game more effectively.
  • 4/23 2:32 pm - Try to use some more close up shots when on the court. Also work on editing the subjects so that they get right to the point of the story, try to remove excess working. In a natural audio package you are not supposed to have any tracks to help tell you story, you need to remove the voice and let them tell the story. Make sure that you are hiding the mic of the people you are interviewing, this happened with the coach .
  • 4/10 11:20 am - The interviews are framed well and mostly sound fantastic. You have some great b-roll shots here, but I would have liked to see some more variety in framing choices. The first interview with the coach is much darker than the rest of the video and I couldn’t tell if that was done in camera or in post, but try and keep your camera settings consistent! Be sure to always hide the lav mic cable(coach) to give your videos a more professional look. Windscreens are a must for windy days, even on your lav microphones since blowing wind can be distracting. The narration track information could of been achieved with another guided question to one of the interviewees. I think you did a great job mixing the little natural audio you had to work with, and overall it is a good piece that just needed some minor adjustments to be great!
  • 3/10 11:34 am - GREAT OPENING FILTER. CUT-OUT THE “UM” IN FIRST SOUND BITE AND COVER THE SEAM WITH FIRST B-ROLL SHOT. CHYRON FOR FIRST BITE IS TOO LOW AND MIGHT NOT “GO HOME” ON SOME MONITORS/SCREENS. FIRST 2 B-ROLL SHOTS FROM SAME ANGLE. WHY IS THERE A REPORTER TRACK IN THIS PIECE? NOT MUCH COMPELLING NATSOT IN THIS PIECE.
