  • 4/25 8:30 pm - Really interesting story but seemed that you tried to fit too much information into this time frame. This history of Deerfield and integration is interesting but takes time to explain and the emphasis was to be on the group at school.
  • 4/24 10:49 am - +Good use of archival footage + I like your effort to make the graphics interesting +Good job with your interview composition -There is something going on with the camera where it makes ripples on your footage when they are walking -This seems a little bit like a news package and less like a documentary.
  • 4/22 3:30 pm - This seems to be a mix of news package and report moreso than a documentary as you hit a wide variety of subjects. The most compelling was how your town was the epicenter for an integration plan sponsored by the First Lady- that seemed to get cut off, yet was the most compelling.
  • 3/5 2:35 pm - Positives: Smooth zoom-out at the open; good use of Ken Burns to add energy to the static images; interview sites are well-chosen; news clippings have powerful headlines; story is enhanced by the historical perspective; Areas for improvement: Text sequences could be a bit larger, and separated into shorter lines that are easier to read; closing pan needs to slow down. Story needs a stronger closing.
