- 4/23 9:10 am - Great diversity of shot composition, looks, uses of light, perspectives and movement but it didn't end well, need a final shot sequence or music to end it. From 1:23 on the pacing of the shots didn't match as some were much longer and it didn't sync with the quick beats of the music.
Judge 1
Positives: Nice shot variety. You really showed off a range of movements, compositions, colors, and use of equipment. Your exterior landscape and environment shots are very striking and well composed.
Improvements: I would have like to see more shots depicting your skills with interior controlled lighting situations. You have one shot that appeared to be an interior controlled lighting situation at 1:19 but that seemed to be it. Need to see that you are capable of working with lighting other than incidental lighting. Your exterior landscape shots as I said are striking but you include too many of them and hold on them in the edit for a bit too long
Judge 2
Positives: The symmetry of the football drone shot was fantastic. I like the first person perspective shots. Very interesting and done without too much jitteriness. I like the color grade. Not overdone.
Improvements: Be careful with backgrounds. The rap video scene had a Chase Bank logo in the background. That will get you sued. This reel is void of any narrative cinematography. It's almost all documentary-style. What you have here looks fantastic, but I'd like to see more light worked with in controlled settings to highlight that skill per the rubric.

Positives: Individually you have some very nicely composed shots, the arial shots, time-lapse and concerts. There was one interview with a single light on the young man that I thought looked really nice.
Improvements: I would choose different music that had a beat that you could sync with the video. With all of the great shots you have I feel like you had a great story you could tell.
