4/25 9:01 pm - This show has some good energy provided by graphics and lead host. It has a news magazine feel with varying topics. I felt like it took a long time to get into the show after a long intro and graphic packages. Throughout the show, it might help to have consistency in your graphics; specifically, lower thirds. Consider how you mic both talent and interviewees. Drag car segment provided nice insight into a different kind of club...one most schools don't have. You've done a nice job creating a different type of news program...one that provides student news/announcements and news magazine segments. Consider ways to bring the same amount of energy to the student news/announcements section as in the packages.
4/25 2:23 pm - Where are the left talent’s hands in the opening and close?
Good intro of what is coming up by anchor.
Power 93.5 or 92.3? Anchor says 92.3, but graphic says 93.5. Good use of b-roll over anchor. Lil Tif’s head cut off.
Left anchor - run mic cable under clothing. Does not look very professional with the cable on the outside.
Exelon - Interview audio low
Bobsled team - Interviewee blends into background. Should have added a light or moved her.
MLK Day- Good variety of b-roll. Durkeke-jumpcut. Good way to show what was done.
Race Car- as host leaves he looks confused. Nice way to present story.
4/5 7:43 am - I feel like it takes a long time for the show to start. I like the opening graphics and the teases. They do a great job of setting up the show. Great anchor energy. The studio is very dark on the wide shots, more light would help. Try to use a tripod on stories to make them smoother. Audio in one of the interviews is low for the interview video. I like that the news moves fast in the start and sets a good pace for the show. The angle of the camera on the basketball story is awkward. Lower the camera to get it on the eye level of the anchor. I like the music but at times it gets a little loud and takes away from the anchors. Good newscast with solid information, just work on the shaky camera in the stories to prevent distractions.
