  • 4/25 8:23 pm - Great job of storytelling. Letting your subjects voice describe his incredible experiences drove the documentary as well as your selection of images. Such a sad story but it's terrific you got this documented because it is something everyone should see.
  • 4/22 3:16 pm - Excellent story selection, great job letting him tell his story without cutting through it too quickly. Love the mixture of pictures and video for the broll, would love to have seen even more. Good use of simple text to transition throughout as well.
  • 4/20 2:59 pm - +The photos are great at the beginning, but it goes by so fast you don’t have time to look at them. Slow your movement +Nice VFX work with photos! +Interview composition is good +technically very well done -Switches between fonts- maybe stick to one throughout its entirety
  • 3/5 1:54 pm - Positives: Powerful story! Beautiful lighting and setting for the interview. Nice effect :30-:33; intro of 2nd & 3rd segments with text is very effective. Areas for improvement: Music bed should continue without pause through the end credits and acknowledgements.

Positives: Excellent use of music, camera work/collage of pictures into an excellent introspective shot from behind your interview subject to start off this narrative! Very nice, creative use of interview look - I liked the empty theater and the lighting. Excellent use of old pictures/footage. Good use of movement. Excellent use of "Title" pages to set the individual themes. "I Don't Know..." "Follow Me" etc. kept me interested!

Improvements: Double check your lighting of the interview subject. The lights from above are much "Hotter" on the top of his head, while his face is much darker - try to even out that lighting and make it softer on top of the head and brighter on the face of your interview subject.

Positives: The opening is beautiful in terms of the visual and sonic imagery. Terrific use of found footage. The film moves so well!

Improvements: The talking head interview is a bit dark. The music starts out well but can be more integral to the storytelling as the film moves forward.

Positives: Great use of stock photos. Very inspirational story.

Improvements: The lighting on the interview needed a bit more front light on the subject. Some stock war footage could have been used.
