  • 4/23 7:06 am - Overall, a good story. If this were my story, I would lose the music and replace it with the natural audio from the b-roll. In some spots, I would bring up that natural audio so the viewer can hear a little from the competitors - afterall, what they are saying is what got them to state - so let the viewers hear it. Great variety of b-roll. Work on holding that camera steady (use a tripod whenever possible).

Positives: -A lot of the camera work was so well done! -Wonderful use of depth that I haven't seen in a single other piece; really made for beautiful shots. -The color and lighting was so crisp, vibrant and consistent throughout. -Great shot variance and interview variance. -The story was fluid, with great energy and pace.

Improvements: -I see things that should make noise, but don't hear it! I think this was a piece where natural sound could've really helped enhance the overall message. -I had to dock points because music was included that wasn't natural sound. The music matched the tone of the story though! -For your interviews, the rule of thirds is a good rule of thumb!

Positives: good broll good bites

Improvements: Bring the music level down under the bites...in fact you could lose the music in some places where it seems to be fighting against the voice over. It would have been nice hear a snippets of the speeches! Would have been a good way to start the piece with a little nat sot of someone speaking. When the piece ends, not sure what "speech" means.
