Try to not let the person you are interviewing hold the microphone - the reporter should always be the one holding it. Trim the sound bytes a bit - the story should not be told by the sound bytes and some of the information that was said could have been paraphrased in your VOs. Nice job with the b-roll. You had a large variety of shots - wide, medium, and tight, as well as from a variety of angles. Thank you for including the natural audio in your story as well.

Positives: -I really loved that a standup was included! That stood out. It takes creativity, forward thinking and extra effort to include standup. -Way to include lots of different interview subjects! Little kids can have great soundbites in stories! -Lighting and color was solid throughout the entire piece.

Improvements: -Interviewees shouldn't hold the stick mic. Ideally, we don't want to see a stick mic at all but you can also frame the interview in such a way that when you hold it for the interview, you don't see it. I know this can be tough though if that's the only tools you have! -Bring up that natural sound a little bit. To hear the pancakes sizzling or the crowd chatting during the breakfast really adds a great element for the viewer.

Positives: Like the little boy's bite

Improvements: There is a long bite from the choir director about the choir and the band. Part of it should be covered by broll of the band. This piece misses the mark. There should be shots of the choir and the band in the piece. Piece is too long.
