  • 4/15 9:32 pm - Good story elements are here and the production value is well done both in terms of cinematography and in sound mixing and acquisition. The fonts and overall treatment of the trailer gave it a sense of style. I knew enough about your protagonist to care about him. My issue is with the time stamp. Why did you put his in the 60s or, why is some of it in the 60s with no aging by your protagonist? Why does the date matter at all? Why mess with that can of worms if you can't find someone older to play your protagonist? It's confusing for the audience and I wasn't able to suspend my disbelief. Also, your protagonist looked to be breaking character at several points. As a director, you have to do more takes and do what you can to get believable performances from your actors.
  • 3/25 11:33 am - The story had some real potential, but it seems you held back in telling some of the story to hook your audience. There was one point when the music starting rising and I thought this is where the action would start- and it went back to the same peaceful music again. Once the "reveal" happens, more plot explanation needs to take place. Actor does a decent job with the eye roll, and audio sounds good throughout. Watch the dates on your footage- the main character does not change appearance in a lot of years!!! Plot has potential- just need the action to go along with it.
  • 3/4 10:25 am - Great audio, voices. Your main characters voice sound professional. The audio is great throughout. However, the plot is very thin and the ending of the trailer disappoints because it does not create interest for the viewer. This could have been an amazing trailer with a little more work and effort.
  • 2/26 1:14 pm - Wow...so much promise in the concept. BUT...here we go: Your actor is clearly a high school kid in the present. And yet, the date on your file footage is 1963. So, does MK ULTRA also prevent aging? Perhaps you could have found an older person to play the main character, so that the timeline makes sense. Also, your actor starts cracking a smile during the scene from 42-45 seconds. As a director, you should have caught that IN PRODUCTION and immediately did another take. The trailer just doesn't hook the audience.
