  • 4/23 9:59 pm - Good attempt at an office style comedy. It's not easy! You did well in capturing a lot of the cinema verite style, but pay closer attention to the details. For example, the characters when they're interviewed are never looking directly into the camera. They're always looking at the interviewer. Having a specific eyeline is very important in those setups. Also, switch up the interview backgrounds. Have 2-3 different backgrounds and switch them up for each character. Your biggest issue with this is capturing quality, consistent audio. You needed to use a combination of lav microphones and boom microphones hidden. For just a little bit of money, you can buy a multi-channel audio recorder so you can get multiple vocal tracks for the video. Quality audio makes all the difference in overall production value. Watch out for instances of soft focus in the camera work.
  • 4/22 5:38 pm - Performers did a very good job throughout the production. Dialogue was well written. Hand-held camera shots worked well for this production.
  • 4/12 1:29 pm - "The Office" parody, copied some of the camera style from the real show pretty well, but seems like there was loss of shot focus throughout. Some of the audio with dialogue was captured in- camera and could have been better w/ lavs or well-positioned boom mic nearer the actors? The downside of parody is if it isn't a LOT like the original, sometimes it doesn't work as well as it could. Some good ideas and ad-libbing at work for sure, though.
