Entry Description
This is our school newscast called Spartan News Now. We produce these news based shows through the year to showcase GBN students reporting on GBN events and issues. Our staff of 8-12 on each show come up with the story ideas, assign roles, produce, write and edit packages as well as anchor the final show.

- 4/25 9:32 pm - Nice opening. Female anchor has a comfortable look on her face. First turn to camera on right was late - lead-in to All Hands on Deck segment set-up. Floor director can help guide you at right time. Some of the reading is short and choppy. Vary your script writing or verbal phrasing so the rhythm doesn't become repetitive. Look at your 2-shot. You're both dressed similar which works nicely. However, you are both positioned the exact same way. Vary your positioning and move away from leaning on the desk with both forearms. Ninja segment well-done. Make sure audio levels in packages are consistent. A bit of distortion at end of traveling show segment.
- 4/25 2:23 pm - Took out option to view full screen. Hard to see well in small window. Too much headroom on two shots. Female anchor has a nice personality. Male has too hard of a stare into the teleprompter. Swimming- Good variety of b-roll. Coach interview a little dark. Junior Warrior- Interesting story. Acting with class - first interview not miced well. Using built in camera mic? Dr. T. audio very low. Traveling Show- nice showing them perform.Good amount of interviews. Looks like video ended before it should have.
- 4/5 7:40 am - I like the open and the tosses to the stories. I wish there was more to the music open, it just was a little quick for me. There are not a lot of sound bites in the swimming story, and I wish there were less tracks. Good job on the ninja story. Wish there was more b-roll and natural sound. Audio is not solid on the class act story. The show flows well and the anchors are good, but could interact a little more. The tosses to the stories are very solid, and do a good job of setting up the story. Overall this is a very good news show, and does a great job of informing the students.
