4/26 7:12 am - Need some kind of an introduction,
Watch the jump cuts between subjects, put a piece of b roll in-between so it doesn't look awkward
Mix the various perspective shots so they are not all the same
4/26 2:06 am - I wish you would not a have included music track. The rules state music is not allowed (unless it is natural audio).
Your piece also exceeds 2 minutes.
In the future, vary the locations of your interviews. Using the same background did not benefit you in this piece. Also watch your focus. Your camera's auto focus is focusing on the background and not the interviewees.
4/23 2:22 pm - Try to avoid using shaky shots at the start of the video, it is distracting to the viewer. Make sure that you circle the audio so that the sound is coming out of both speakers, not just one. It would be nice to put some of the sound from the production in between sound bites and not ignore that portion of the video. Watch the framing of the subjects, try to make sure they are looking off camera and that they are hitting one of the points in the rule of third. I like the background of the interviews it is well lit, and the shot is well executed at times. Try not to add music to a story like this because it takes away from the potential natural audio. I wish there was more of the natural audio in this piece because I think it would have made it even stronger.
3/10 11:38 am - SHOULD HAVE SHOT ENTIRELY OFF STICKS. HAND-HELD SHOTS DON’T MIX WELL WITH SHOTS OFF STICKS.
0:30 - WHY IS HE LOOKING OFF-SCREEN?
THE CHYRON IS TOO BIG; IT’S COVERING THE STAGE, WHICH IS THE ESSENTIAL AREA OF THIS PIECE.
VERY AWKWARD HAVING EVERY SUBJECT LOOKING OFF-SCREEN. IT DRAGS ATTENTION TO THE EXTREME RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRAME TO THE POINT WHERE ANYTHING ON THE MIDDLE/LEFT OF THE SCREEN IS IRRELEVANT TO VIEWERS.
SHOULD BE HEARING LESS MUSIC AND MORE STAGE DIALOGUE DURING NAT BREAKS. AND MUSIC DOESN’T COUNT AS NATSOT.
NEED TRANSITION TO “PERFORMANCE WEEK.”
