3/2 7:01 pm - Not hard to make a great opening when you take shots that aren't yours! At least credit where you got your shots (if you got permission to use them in the first place). Your talent did a decent job- it was obviously unscripted and your hosts did a decent job talking. Although they looked a bit uncomfortable on the screen together- not knowing where to look (looking down a lot and not at each other or the camera). Can't really judge your graphics or b-roll, because none of it is your creation. When you go to a new topic, transitioning from a shot to the same shot doesn't work. That's where a created graphic can work- put the topic on a graphic with some music to show you're going to something new. Saw a lot of those "wipe" transitions, and it got very distracting. Interviews that aren't yours either- there are copyright issues you are overlooking. You guys seem interested in sports but this "fake" sports show (we're in LA!) might be better if you did your own school sports. Just a thought. You also used copywritten music in your closer, which is an auto DQ in this contest.
2/28 12:30 pm - There's a fine line between borrowing ideas from something and straight up copying it. Your opening sequence isn't your footage. A lot of your photos, graphics, and roll-in clips are also "borrowed" from other content.
Also, your audio levels during the opening sequence are WAY hot. Your audio for the end credits is also WAY too hot. Watch your VU meter.
You would be better off making an original sports program focusing on your local community / school sports, using YOUR graphics, and YOUR b-roll that is all original.
