This act in Glenbrook North's variety show, Warrior, has students dance, sing, and play the keys to the song 'Ready For It' by Taylor Swift. This was made with an 8 camera shoot, two directors, and other staff.

• 3/5 2:54 pm - Positives: Good job following the lead singer with shot variety that is usually chosen with an interesting framing mix. Smooth ease-out. Areas for improvement: Avoid 3 shots in a row that all have the same framing (:25-:30, all medium shots). Not enough broad shots that capture the full stage--mix that in with the shots that isolate the lead singer, the keyboardist or the dancers. 1:10 is one of the few times that you see everyone at once. It's worth either opening or closing with a broad shot. This doesn't come off like an 8-camera shoot--looks like maybe 4 or 5.
• 3/3 9:03 pm - Nice variety of shots. The audio mix is off here—it is hard to hear the music. The next steps would be to work on timing the cuts to the music and using dissolves.

Positives: Great job! This was by far the best video I watched. You really did lots of great shots and kept it moving

Improvements: Shot at 1:22 - I know you didn't have control of the lighting, but it was so dark and hard to see I wouldn't have used it

Positives: Good audio mix. Good job directing live.

Improvements: Some lighting issues. Camera shots need to be tightened up. Cuts should be a bit more motivated.

Judge 3

Positives: A wide shot, when the dancers would have been better than the tight side shot at :34. The viewer has to struggle to hard to figure out if they should be looking at the keyboard player (who is almost out of the shot, the lead singer who is obsructed by the dancers, or the dancers themselves (and it is too difficult to see their routine from that angle because you are only seeing a couple of them). Nice move back to the keyboard around 1:09. Bad dark shot at 1:15. Another camera should have been set before the cue to go to it. At 1:21...the camera was on 2 dancers we couldn’t see. When a shot is too dark, comfortably segue to another camera. I would have liked to see a wide shot of the dance routine, at some point. Great job of giving the keyboardist camera time during the solo and using various shots to do it!
