The Riverside Brookfield High School Madrigals perform at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Riverside, IL. The program was sponsored in part by the Riverside Chapter of the Chicago Lyric Opera. The program was called Cookies & Carols and featured holiday music. The competition entry features one song from the show. The program was shot multi-camera and cut live.

• 3/5 2:48 pm - Positives: Nice opening to establish the space, although it could be a little tighter and just feature the performers and not so much of the audience in the pews. Some shot variety is shown. Good job taking your time with the pan shots--try to keep them at a smooth pace. Areas for improvement: This gentle song is the perfect opportunity to use crossfades rather than hard cuts. Anticipate when the song is ending and go to the wide shot for the closing measure.
• 3/3 8:34 pm - Nice variety of shots in a static situation. The next step would be to begin experimenting with zooms and dissolves to add more emotional heft to the edits and to add interest and further variety.
