  • 4/22 1:15 pm - Some nice adherence to the original program and that's what makes a comedic parody work! I like the seated interview shots especially the ones shot into the lighted outdoor background. No doubt you had to get your camera settings correctly to pull those off. I think it also played into a North Shore vibe. Nice plot piece by having the male and realtor become a "thing" too at the end. Was one of my favorites in the category, nicely done!
  • 4/21 10:11 am - The music that you selected helps to establish the mood of the production. Camera shots were well composed. Dialogue was well written. Performances were great.
  • 4/17 8:58 pm - Nice attempt at re-creating a popular show with some north shore comedy! You seem to have a basic concept of how House Hunters works and the show bug and graphics were a nice touch. The music was well chosen. The main issue here is the inconsistencies in production. Some of your scenes have good quality audio and others do not. Some scenes are nice and steady and the footage is shot on tripods. Other scenes are way to shaky and all over the place. The other issue is that we never see clearly what the potential homeowners are seeing. The opening scene in the bathroom, I never see the bathroom, so as a viewer, I can't formulate my own opinion on the bathroom and the woman's comments on it. That's what makes House Hunters work and you need to have deliberate shots of the interiors as the characters narrate the pros and cons. Same thing in the basement with the bowling set. We barely get to see it. The House Hunters bug in the video is present in most of the shots but then absent in others. Make sure you're consistent with the little details. Also, your ending title and your bug were probably outside of action/title safe zones. Have your teacher explain to you how those zones work so that your titles don't run the risk of bleeding into the edge of the screen. Overall, this was a good effort, but make sure your output is consistent throughout the entire piece. Keep working!
