  • 4/25 8:01 pm - Enjoyed the intensity of the end of the game even though the game was decided. Play-by-Play was pretty solid, don't really agree with the comment about the visiting team's fans packing up early. It was a 10 point game with :40 left, game was basically over. The dunk was a great moment but not sure why you cut from live action to show it. Yes the game was in hand but instant replay should be used at a dead ball. Overall coverage very good and it sounded like an intense atmosphere that you covered quite well.
  • 4/25 10:11 am - Live sound (crowd) was a little strong for me, fan hands in the frame is distracting. If this is your home venue, do what you can do control your space! Mic'd baskets is awesome, really helps to embellish the action. Both announcers have great energy. Thought this was a very solid effort all around!
  • 4/23 7:51 am - I KNOW SOME VENUES ARE OLD, BUT CAN WE PLACE THE UP-CAM BEYOND FANS’ STRETCHING FINGERS AND/OR PEDESTAL IT HIGHER? NEED IMMEDIATE CUTS FROM HERO TO CROWD AFTER GREAT PLAYS. GREAT ANNOUNCER ENERGY. BEST SO FAR.
  • 3/5 10:01 am - Why was there a replay when the ball was in play? Either show it while you’re in transition to defense (before reaching half court) or wait until a dead ball. But don’t go to a replay while Hinsdale has the ball under the basket. Good enthusiasm by announcers.

Positives: Audio Mix - difficult to do with loud crowd but the mix was very good. Talent - nice energy and great job telling about stories behind the game.

Improvements: Camera work was a little shaky - keeping cameras on tripods would help this broadcast look a bit more professional

Judge 3

Positives: Tremendous job referencing the conversation pregame with the dunker. Probably would have been ideal not to reference yourself as much, but it's great timing nonetheless. Good work, too, by the announcers noticing that the away crowd was leaving early. That helps build the scene.

Improvements: When the announcers referenced the visiting crowd leaving early, it might have been worth it to show the crowd at a dead ball. Or, when you came back to game camera, the announcers could have told the viewer to look at the top right of the screen. The crowd was filing out there. In a close game, down the stretch, it's not ideal to go to a replay during game action. The fans want to see the game, first and foremost. Generally, in a close game, you'll have a dead ball. Wait for that to give us the replay (and you did get one, here).
