• 4/24 12:38 pm - This piece is very poetic and is a wonderful person statement project. Your strengths are definitely landscape shots under sunny and partly cloudy conditions. Framing and compositions are very strong in these shots (:04, :17, :26, :25, :39). Keep experimenting with compositions that stand out to the viewer (1:27). Cons - Artificial lighting is an area of focus that needs work. Many of your closeups fell flat, blending your subject into the background. Many of these (:50, :54, :59, 1:06, 1:09, 1:11) seemed to use available light and sometimes that's all you have but for a cinematography reel, you really want to showcase you ability to light the human face if you are going to include closeups in your sample. Be sure to run through your reel and color correct, even for a little juice, to avoid muddiness (:44), white balance issues (1:34), or to tweak the contrast on an already nicely lit shot (1:13).
