  • 5/10 9:48 am - It would be nice to open with sound of a strike or the ball rolling down the lane. Try not to have a dissolve from the lane to the bus, they are two independent events it is not needed. try to use more wide-medium and tight shots for the video. This will allow you to have more options when editing. Make sure that you keep each b-roll shot at 3-4 seconds. Try not to pan so much during the story or have the zoom in and out movements. If you are going to mention someones shot then you need to show the whole shot, and why just that person? Good audio with the interview because a bowling alley can be a loud place. Watch the headroom on the second interview, there is too much room above him. You do not need to mention the subject each time they are interviewed, this can be done with a lower third. You want to find the "heart of the story" What is it that you are trying to teach the viewer. Just because they go to the alley does not make it a story. In this case focus on just one student and their journey through the program. It could be a student who was not good at first, but has improved each week. Always look for that reason to make a story essential to the viewer.
