Entry Description
The following is a 3-minute segment of a game covered by GBN’s basketball production crew. The crew uses a 5-camera setup including 2 wireless, floor cameras and 3 booth cameras. The coverage also features two play-by-play announcers, Brayden Roy and Nathan Gordon, and uses an instant replay feature. This production was directed by Amanda Press and technical directed by Ryan Lezak. This production was shortened for MMEA time limits.

- 4/25 8:03 pm - Announcers do a nice job of describing the action and giving us a pulse in the game. It was distracting through that they talked over each other a couple of times during the action. It seemed like the responsibilities between play-by-play and color changed at times. Action is covered pretty well technically, not sure about the multiple angles on the free throw that was a bit jarring.
- 4/25 1:33 pm - Audio between the announcers seems to be out of balance, PXP sounds very prominent while analyst audio is low. Occasionally it seems like both talents talk over each other which was distracting. Parts of the scorebug are really small (time, quarter) might be hard to see on a mobile device? Overall though seems pretty solid coverage of a HS game.
- 4/23 7:58 am - 0:17 - HERO SHOT WORKS BEST WHEN HERO IS FACING CAMERA - USUALLY FROM DOWN ON THE FLOOR. UP-CAM IS DOWNHILL-RIGHT. 2:30 - WHY IS SHOT ON REF AND NOT PLAYER ABOUT TO SHOOT FT? LOTS OF ANGLES.
