Positives: Nice editing & transitions - I liked the camera angles & the pacing changes with the edit decisions. Loved the lo-fi music scoring the film. Appropriate energy for the narrative and the pacing matched the editing.
Improvements: The lighting at night time was a bit dark - I liked the light strobe from the cars to add more light but it still could use some more lighting help. The paintball shoulder was in a shadow. I liked the misdirect on the narrative - wasn't expecting the paintball & skateboarding mashup but introducing the paintball offering earlier in the film would have helped to inform the viewer and done the right way, would keep the misdirect alive at the punchline ending.
Positives: Nice job with the concept of two daydreams intersecting - the intrigue and humor around that work well. Appreciate that you didn't shy away from trying to use visual and sound effects to help tell the story.
Improvements: The abrupt shift to nighttime footage feels a little confusing the story - it would be better to have just kept it all day time lighting. The ending needs a bit of humor, or something to tie the two boys' experiences together in a way that circles back to Warped Sportz.
Positives: slo mo footage outstanding! i like the music sound at the beginning--sounding like you're at the mall listening to the mall music great use of SFX transition into the skating scenes very creative and strong this concept is REALLY strong--the kid with the paintgun next to him--genius!
Improvements: some of the skating footage a bit dark... the paint gun shot on his shirt--pretty obvious it's done in post, but a strong effort :-)
