Positives: Beautiful, professional looking music video. Terrific use of color.

Improvements: I just think the concept of the lightbulb as microphone is weird. Could have used more variety in your coverage.

Judge 2

Positives: You had a very direct approach, which I appreciated. Here is the artist, doing his thing. Very little distraction from the main objective. Another element that worked well was the environment you put your artist into. The grittiness of the streets and backways matched the urgency of the music.

Improvements: While I did appreciate the direct approach I also believe the video could have benefitted from some more subtextual information. If there was a B story that we kept checking into, it may have humanized the subject more and made us relate to him on a deeper level. Also, the locations were great but it would have been awesome to throw in a few more newer locations towards the end. Keeps it interesting and gives us some rewards for making it that far. In short, you already do "simple" really really well. I'd love to see you challenge yourself more.

Positives: Great track! Love the B&W look, especially the lightbulb shots. Nice job using an original recording!

Improvements: Not much to criticize here. I couldn't understand a lot of the lyrics but maybe I'm just too darn old! Lip sync did feel a little loose at times, but honestly, that's tough with the lyrics moving that fast. Might consider some slow-motion shots to mix it up a bit.
