• 4/21 2:46 pm - Your piece includes a number of shots that indicate the diversity of content created by WVTV. In addition, you include shots of your studio spaces and the equipment you use. These types of shots likely would be of interest to many in your audience. While your piece does show a variety of activities, some shots of these activities appear to be repeated. There is nothing wrong with using multiple shots from same activity as long as these shots look different. Your piece places a lot of emphasis on showing what WVTV does, but it does not allow your viewer hear what it does. How might you have been able to incorporate some of the sounds associated WVTV in action? Finally, can you think of any other WVTV "selling points?" For example, is there a special camaraderie that exists?

Judge 1

Positives: Great showcase display of all of the elements that WVTV provides students! Great split screen editing technique to show 4 different aspects of the facility

Improvements: the final shot in black with the video monitors could have been shorter in length to keep the energy moving through the end - lost some energy here Lighting near the end did not allow me to completely understand what I was seeing.

Judge 2

Positives: Greta open. I like the countdown and move to the shots. Good job matching the music with the edits. The quad box works very well for this project. The ending with the screens is well produced and a nice touch to the end of the video.

Improvements: Some shots could have moved a little more quickly. You use the podcast room a little too much, or just keep the camera in the same spot.

Judge 3

Positives: Great beginning. Great way to start off the piece.. The vo, the graphics and how you wait for music to start is really strong and engages the viewer immediately. Really fantastic use of broll and graphics. You edited really nicely to the music.

Improvements: the music is nice, but when the lyrics come back on it is a bit distracting I would have loved for you to use graphic text to show the viewer the benefits that the production studio does!
