  • 3/28 10:11 am - We must see the ball at all times - even on the floor cam under the basket. Great job by the sales staff to get sponsored replays & time-outs. Normally the live action is from the up cams and the replay is from the floor cams. The wide up cam is clearly downhill-right. Never seen dissolves used for live sports telecast; they slow the mood/tone of the content; why slow the mood of an exciting athletic contest? Floor cam needs to decide ahead of time to stick with coach/bench or stick with players returning to floor after huddle. 1:48 - why take this shot? Combination of framing bottom of screen and score graphic result in cutting-off players legs on the wide up cam; tilt down. Why isn't the tight up cam used for hero shots? Announcers were good.
  • 3/5 4:05 pm - -Too much reliance on goal camera in the beginning. -The rest of the clip I only saw your cover cam. +Liked the replay.

Positives: The sponsorship read came in pretty smoothly and was well-documented by the play-by-play announcer. The announcers built good drama on the missed 3/layup late in the segment.

Improvements: Why is the main camera under the basket? That's an odd angle to watch the game from. I actually assumed that you didn't have a center court camera, but you do. Use that more. The viewer will appreciate it. The announcers talked over each other a few times. There's no need to rush. There's time for each of you.

Positives: The camera and decision on the first play worked smoothly with the action on the court, Both play by play and color analyst were a nice tandeum with the call.

Improvements: The timeout is a good time to review the comeback. Would like to know more about the players that provided the comeback. Timeouts are good for a chyron on the scoring.

Positives: The announcers were energetic and engaging. They didn’t talk over one another and worked well at collaborating the play of the game. The sounds of the game were really well! A nice blend of the announcers, crowd, court and replay wipe sound effects. Cameras shots worked well and were color balanced. The game wide-shot camera had smooth pans and wasn't tilting and moving all over the place. Nice use of promo card slates for fill time. The score-strip graphic is appealing and simple.

Improvements: The play announcer audio was mixed well, the color announcer’s mic was a little off-mic or could have be gained down a bit. Although there is a lot of good things to say, one thing I can say production wise that I’m a little nit-picky that could be different is when you are coming out of a replay, don't animate out to the same camera the replay was showing such as wide shot to wide shot, it could have replay wiped-out to a huddle of players from the lower handheld cams. Overall the announcers did a terrific job and the directing was great!
