- 2/24 9:50 am - Nice drone intro; very effective shot for the subject of cross country, and well-used throughout. Framing on interviews needs to be a bit more consistent; some of the shots are so tight that the lower-third / name key is almost touching the person's chin. Watch your lighting/exposure on the interviews; some of them seemed a bit dark. Good use of abstract shots for the b-roll (low angle shots of runners passing by, shots of students on the track).
- 2/22 5:49 am - X-C isn’t run on tracks; why is that the opening shot? Why is first interview (and others) inside for an outdoor sport? Focus blur was an effective transition. Some drone shots more effective with kids running AT the drone instead of away from it. Tight shot of (another) runner running away from camera didn’t work. Horizon way off after Lakemaker bite. What was laptop used for? Drone shots didn’t work; max would have been one to open and one to close. Interviews were solid with good audio. The most interesting aspect of this story was the jump to 3A; the related challenges would have made for a great theme throughout. Wanted more natsot breaks. And, again, I’ve never seen a X-C story that didn’t show a X-C course at some point.
