I like the framing of your shot and the depth of field, but what separates this cancer story from another? Also, shoot or ask for b-roll to cover the jump cuts. It really takes away from the package when your eyes are just staring at jump cuts. If you are an underclassman, keep making pieces. If you are a senior, I wish you the best in your future and congratulations!

Matter of fact I wasn’t sure what the story was about ( I intentionally didn’t read your summary) and I didn’t get that it was a medical issue until about halfway through, you set him up as a tough seasoned coach and then he said something didn’t feel right I just assumed it was about the teams record or how they were playing going into the playoffs. There were many jump cuts within the piece where you were trying to speed up the interview, which is fine, but I would have used a ton more b-roll within the story, one to help me remember the details of it better, but more importantly to hide all those jump cuts. I think you had a great story here, if a picture is worth a thousand words, I am just thinking about how much more you could have communicated (reinforced) had you been more intentional about incorporating more stills/b-roll.
