Entry Description
A visual narrative centered around the idea of saying goodbye to one's childhood. I used old found footage in conjunction with carefully crafted new images to create a striking visual piece.The video was created for and featured as part of my school's annual variety show.

- 4/23 8:52 pm - I love the shots on the hill while she’s blowing bubbles. I don’t think I would have gotten that she was saying goodbye to her childhood, if it hadn’t been written in the description. I see the connections, and I liked the similarities of her as a kid and her as a teenager. But it got lost a little bit for me in the visuals. It didn’t feel as narrative centered. I like that you incorporated old footage and used that as inspiration.
- 3/6 6:46 am - I enjoyed how you used your old video of your own childhood to say goodbye to your own childhood. Great way to incorporate your own story! I liked the bubble scene and the smoke scene and the television scene. My only critique is the skateboard scene present-day. I would have made sure it wasn't filmed on garbage day because I'm all about the setting. Your original skateboard scene has this perfect setting so you want to make sure to imitate that. You don't want your audience taking their eyes away from you and focusing on something in the background. My eyes ended up looking at the garbage cans. However, I still loved your concept, the ideas within it as a whole and all of the work that went into it.
