  • 4/23 9:24 am - Your PSA is very well paced. You did an outstanding job cutting your video and text to the music. The use of close up's also helped to build the "suspense." The handwritten "STD" and "Sgt. Protection" seemed a little sloppy to me- I would work on making these neater by typing them out and cutting them out cleanly. Otherwise, I thought this was a funny PSA with a clear message at the end. Nice work!
  • 3/7 4:03 pm - Interesting story, almost a bit funny. I liked the progression and music choice. I was a bit confused with the STDs. Where they the piece of paper or the punching bag? You taped the name tag on you, but the STD name tag seems to be the object. I probably would have put a clear plastic (produce?) bag on the pot to show the protection as you defeat STDs. Oh, BTW, your helmet is too small! ;)

Positives: The sequence of camera cuts with graphics and a wide variety of camera angles keep the viewers attention. The music choice aided the flow and impact of the piece.

Improvements: Minor grammatical error in the graphics ("Protects" should be "Protect"). The CDC says that condoms help reduce the spread of STD's however they don't prevent the spread on their own. The overall message of the piece seems to misconstrue that condoms alone will prevent STD's and leaves out mentioning other potential safe sex practices.

Positives: Really nice editing and shot choices - stays dynamic and interesting visually throughout, and has a nice arc that builds.

Improvements: Lighting was not bad, but might have been a bit more dramatic. A more extreme color-correction (or even black and white) might have made it even grittier.

Positives: Eceelent use of props to convey the message. Editing was great

Improvements: Improved camerawork with depth of field and better lighting could enhance the piece.
