Positives: Excellent way to kick off the piece - effective way to grab the audience with energy and lightheartedness. Perfect example of how not all "documentaries" need to be sad stories to make the viewer feel something. Good use of natural sound.

Improvements: Nitpicking a bit here but two things that might help the viewer. 1. Are there any additional pictures/video of families enjoying slot car racing - would be a nice way to effectively make the connection between today and the 1970's. 2. Might want to give a locator off the top of "Dad's" so the viewer knows where this place is.

Positives: Love the topic. Love the integration of the vintage clips and photos. Wonderful and imaginative lower thirds. Captured the excitement of people and environment. The doc is more exciting than the description!

Improvements: Ok. Revise the log line. It could more clearly speak to the film. While I understand the family focused sales pitch, the magic of the place and the doc is the excitement of people enjoying the cars. Focus more on that rather than the fairly familiar technology and games are bad story. This is more than that.

Positives: I've never heard of this sport, but this story is told in such a delightful way, this quickly became my favorite piece. This is a little slice of Americana. Great open with the 50s music and the close up shots that almost make you think you are looking at an actual racetrack.Love the title Racing Against Time and love the transition from the title graphic to the moving bus and onto the old style neon sign, Dads Slot Cars. Terrific editing transporting the viewer back to a different time. Well done. The interviews do a good job of telling the past, present and future of this sport. Great use of the file footage of the British sounding narrator from bygone days. Good nat sot at the beginning giving a fun feel for the sport.

Improvements: I would like to have seen more old family photos and perhaps a better closing shot.
