  • 3/8 10:48 pm - Clean intro and fun anchors. Try working with your hands a little more instead of gripping them all show on top of the desk. I was a little confused after the FCCLA announcement. Was the cut to the variety show a promo or was it an announcement? The shots are beautiful and the piece is edited together well but I'm not sure how this is supposed to fit into your show. This is where I would suggest using your anchors a little more as lead in to packages or to explain where the show is going. Then show cuts to Civil Rights Tour promo which is followed by two new anchors who are not introduced prior to presenting more announcements in a different setting. And then show cuts back to two original anchors in the studio. There are some really good things happening in the show but they feel randomly put together. Consider sitting down together as a group and defining what you want the structure of the show to be. Then take your skills and all the things you do well (videography, anchoring, etc.) and apply them to that structure.
  • 3/3 4:48 pm - STORY: Creative opening that really set the tone for the show. The stories were consistent in the beginning but became unclear after the videos played. There didn't appear to be a toss or any introduction to the two anchors in the hallway. SOUND: Effective. Music was a bit distracting. CAMERA: Studio and hallway shots were done well. LIGHTING: Consistent and did not distract. TALENT: Both sets of anchors did an amazing job with their on air performance.
  • 2/24 11:59 am - Pros: This show does show off many different things at your school. The individual pieces are filmed well and look very sharp. The Variety Show promotion was amazing and made the event look like a must see. Cons: Outside of the starting announcements, this didn't feel that much like a news program. I know this might be how your school structures the show, but I didn't feel there was much storytelling going on which is what a newscast should be. The show also randomly spends a lot of time on two people who we hadn't seen on set sitting in a hallways continuing announcements. No real explanation.
