A girl sees a boy she likes and goes through a bunch of cute scenarios with him. At the end, the boy is walking away and we realize it was all just the girl imagining what it would be like if her crush liked her back.
Original Song by Veronica Pomogaeva
Positives: The framing works well and is consistent. The lead female is engaging.
Improvements: The ending can be clearer. I did not realize by watching the video that it was a crush. I wonder if the male actor's performance might help us more easily understand that.
Positives: Some really terrific compositions. Very sweet performances.
Improvements: Don't do titles that take up a 1/4 to a 1/3 of your run time. While I liked some of the individual color correction choices, there could have been a stronger or more consistent design to them.
Positives: Overall a beautifully shot video with visuals that tell the story effectively. Great performance shots of the subject singing a very lovely song. The actors seem to have good chemistry together as well. Settings were picked with care and they matched the tone of the song nicely.
Improvements: The story lacked depth. The fantasy sequences with the two running through the forest could have been expanded upon. I never felt the true connection the singer so obviously longing for. And the other thing I had an issue with was the flower petals thrown up behind the main subject while she was singing. The idea is a great one... but the execution was clunky and distracting. I loved it when the petals were falling around her but throwing them up repeatedly behind her looked amateurish when the rest of the video looked quite professional. But all in all, a great video that I enjoyed very much!
