  • 3/1 3:10 pm - I understand rolling miscellaneous b-roll over the audio of one song, but don't use shots that clearly show someone singing when the music being used is from an instrumental section. :15 - need to hear the performance natsot under his bite. The background & walls of the room being used for i'view are better lit than the subject. Need transition from her i'view to her b-roll and back and so on. Never heard performance natsot under bites anywhere in piece. And I believe there was only one natsot pop at all - at the top.
  • 2/25 7:02 am - AUDIO: opening audio byte was almost pushing the threshold. Watch your levels. The interview audio was clean, but I could tell you were using either the built-in microphone on the camera or maybe a small shotgun microphone on the camera. You should have been using a lavaliere microphone to get cleaner sound during the interviews, which would reduce ambient room noise and reverberation. CAMERA and LIGHTING: Interviews needed lighting; far too many shadows. Camera angles with the interviewees should have been consistently at eye-level, but instead you have a mix of low angle (bassist), eye level (singer), and high angle (guitarist). Your b-roll was mostly the on-stage footage from what I assume is either a dress rehearsal for the variety show or the actual show footage. You had no natural sound from the b-roll, which is kind of the point of this category; perhaps you could have faded in some of the b-roll WITH audio in between the student interviews. Additional b-roll from practices or from the variety show meetings/rehearsals would have been great. Even some backstage b-roll with natural sound would have added to this piece.
