Judge 1

Positives: The energy in the building was conveyed well by the announcer. He didn't overtalk; he let the atmosphere shine. The director stayed on camera 1 for the big moment.

Improvements: The audio was slightly overmodulated when the play-by-play announcer got excited. The director's cut to the camera under the basket seemed like it could have been replaced with either no cut or a hero shot of the player who made the basket a moment ago.

Judge 2

Positives: LIke the use of the graphics and replay. Talent did a good job of describing and nice energy at the right time. The balance of the play by play and the sound of the crowd was a good blend.

Improvements: Would have gone back to the live action a bit quicker. Did show one different camera angle, would like to have another. With only a :42 play hard to determine if you have that opportunity. Excitement is good, but would like to hear player stats information on the go head score.

Judge 3

Positives: The announcer sounded energetic and engaging. The camera angles worked well to follow the players on the court and capture the replay. Replay animation looks visually appealing and the scoreboard graphic placement in the lower third is sized and proportioned well.

Improvements: The sound of the talent was mixed well, although there was a little bit of audio clipping, it was minimal. The camera shots worked well, however the blend of directing to help tell the story of who is the hero of that play and the use of game vs tight shots on the upper-cameras can be mixed up to show on wide-shot the game, the tight-single-shot of the player who just scored (the hero) and the lower hand-held cams used for replays whenever there is a side-out or short delay in game. The DVE game clock in the scoreboard graphic could be cropped a little bit more to only display the time.
