Positives: Nice job using narrative along with visuals - jumping during volleyball, running etc. Nice use of story of progression - how racing "The Boys" is what inspired her to pursue track. Good use of pictures of footage.
Improvements: Might want to re-think how to kick off this entire piece. Not until the three minute mark of the story do we hear that Riley is working towards becoming the first female track athlete to win the state championship four years in a row - that is a better jumping off point giving the viewer more reason to take interest and care about the subject.
Positives: Compelling and well paced story. Good use of archival/found footage to push the story forward between interviews. Music adds the excitement of her achievements. Captured the excitement and pride of her coach. Nicely done.
Improvements: There seems to be a hissing in the audio. Lighting in main interview is a bit hot. While I appreciate the integration of 'found' footage from phones, the vertical shots take a bit away from the focus of the story. Could be a closer connection between her Olympic dreams, referenced in the title, and the story.
Positives: Good file broll of Riley.
Improvements: The piece feels long. Perhaps this piece would have been helped by having a voice over track. It feels like a run on sentence. The music is repetitive. Feels unrelenting. Editor needs to use more cuts and fade it in and out.
