• 4/23 8:09 pm - I like that you chose a large topic to highlight. I second the comments below and do not want to be redundant. Shoot more than less and use a tripod. There were shaking recycled shots and yes, it is hard when you do not have access, but could you change how you created the story with the strong clips you had and a separate stand up away from the event. Watch your sound as well. If you are an underclassman, keep making pieces. If you are a senior, I wish you the best in your future and congratulations!
• 3/16 8:24 pm - I like that you took a national topic and covered it, I think it gives you an excellent experience and practice for the real thing. As you discovered it is really hard to do because as a high school student you don’t have access and complete control over you story. Of course, and interview with her would have been a nice part of your story, I am sure you wish you had better control over sound issues within your story, and I am sure it would have been nice to shoot B-Roll closer to stage, rather than from the back with a camera all the way zoomed in. I am sure you are aware of all these things, and I get that they were out of your control, but obviously those are the things when compared to other stories that hold it back. I think you did a nice job summarizing her visit and building it into a digestible story. I can only imagine if you had the access you wish you had to truly make the story into what you would want it to be. Like I said great job tackling a national topic.
