- 3/9 9:14 am - Anchor has potential. Consider small changes...how to hold the mic with confidence. Sounds silly but you are on camera and the way you hold the mic communicates something to your audience. While you're reading from a teleprompter, try to do it in a way that seems like you're NOT reading. Quality intro. Make sure music doesn't just cut out at end. The intro drags just a bit as the letters are taking some time to spell out, "Warrior Update" and the music has dropped off. Make sure vibe of music fits tone of commercial, promo or segment. "Students participated in presidential politics last week. Warrior Update reports." Why not introduce the report? This allows connections to be formed between the reporter and your audience. I see the L3rd appear later in the segment. I would suggest bringing this up at the start if you're not going to intro the reporter at the start. Long pause with black screen after this segment. Rape Aggression Defense Class segment has some nice B-Roll and S.W.A.P.-ping...syncing words and pictures.Couples segment is fun and edited well.
- 2/24 12:30 pm - Pros: I like the tease at the start of the show and the show open is strong (maybe a bit long). I love this first story idea and the video was very helpful. It has some good journalistic storytelling. Reporter has a nice voice. Rape aggression story is very good. This maybe should have been the lead of second story. I think it draws in the viewer and has solid visuals and all the appropriate interviews. Couples piece was cute. Cons: The show was 1-minute in before the first story happened. The anchor lead into the first story seemed too short. Second anchor lead didn't really make a ton of sense for the story that was being pitched. Music a little upbeat for a story on diabetes.

Positives: Nice job on keeping the welcome short, sweet and to the point. I think the marriage couple segment was funny and fun. Nice job incorporating the graphics and keep the interviewees answers short. The bloomers at the end of the show, show you are human! Nice little addition.
Improvements: Don't be afraid of the microphone. The first anchor shown looks like she doesn't like holding the mic. Why say Warrior Update reports? Why not name the reporter who shot and edited the story? I liked the story about the Iowa caucus, but why not interview more than one student? In a story like that, I want to hear from a handful of students. Why not talk to the teacher who planned the event? Make sure the people you interview look at you, not at the camera.
