  • 4/23 11:35 am - This project has a strong narrative and I love the visual storytelling. Your shots are all well thought out and executed. I was really impressed with the "party scene." I think these types of scenes can be hard to execute in way that looks realistic, but you nailed it. I also like the flash back and the "hospital beeping" sound effect at the end. This PSA is visually appealing, tells a strong story, tugs at the heart strings, and also has a clear call to action. Very nice work overall!
  • 3/8 7:20 pm - Good camera work and editing. I am really confused by the second half, which I am assuming is a flashback. It cuts to what I am presuming earlier in the day. Should have some sort of an effect or other visual to let us know that it is a flashback. Then it backs up a little bit and we see her get hjt. Why does it do it this way?

Positives: A wide variety of camera angles and cuts, coupled with great music selection, told a good story without relying on dialogue. Good use of a variety of locations and settings.

Improvements: The ending call to action could have been more clear. At first it was difficult to understand that the girl whose day we were following was the innocent victim that had (or would have) been hit in the initially conveyed incident. If the the girl who got behind the wheel drunk was shown a little clearer, it would have been easier to understand the plot.

Positives: Great use of editing to build up tension, fake us out with the next day, and then show that it was "what might have been". Music edit worked perfectly together with your cuts, too. Even the sfx at the end with the supers. Efficient and strong storytelling - great editing.

Improvements: Some sound design/sfx might have added even more to the story, but I can understand your choice to stick with just music. Shot of Dad's kiss goodbye and her side-shot of driving in the car were a little dark, but honestly this was very well-done. good job!

Positives: The story and editing worked very well, especially the point where it reverses. The slow motion works well.

Improvements: The camerawork and lighting could be improved to make it more cinematic and stylized.
