- 3/8 5:32 pm - Nice opening. Solid footage throughout. Anchor is well-spoken. The show has a news magazine feel at the start. At a couple of points, the show has a promo feel to it thought too. For instance, when the VO for the robotics segments says, "Make sure to follow US on Twitter..." Is the reporter a member of the Robotic's team? If so, some objectivity is removed from the reporting. Some of the anchor lead-ins should give more detail/info. The vaping segment just kind of ends. It starts with a reporter VO and then ends without a wrap up. What is the purpose of the boys basketball piece? Was it a promo? If so, for what? To "Pack the Stands?" For what game? When? Or was it just a "hype" video? Show ends with some bits...get your work done rap and speak into the mic. Fun stuff...not really "news" but I enjoyed watching them. Show is edited well, shots have a polished look to them and audio is well-done.
- 3/3 3:35 pm - Story: The news stories were informative and at times creative and relevant to the demographic. The don't speak into this mic segment seemed forced without an introduction Sound: Audio was excellent and the use of music during the packages was creative Camera: Camera work was good in the yearbook story but did not show a diverse range of shot in the other stories. Lighting: No issue Talent: Anchor did a great job.
- 2/24 11:53 am - Pros: The show open is very well done and slick looking. I also like the post-production elements which included promotion of your social media accounts and driving viewership. Really like the name lower 3rds used!! The anchor has a great look and is very comfortable on camera. Cons: The anchor introductions seemed very short and didn't tease the story much. The news packages themselves were okay, however they lacked the same creativity and video quality that was exhibited in the open (with the exception of the basketball lead in). The basketball segment didn't seem like a news piece. While I found the question at the end entertaining, again it was journalistic.

Positives: Great personality from the host! Good nat sound in the second package! Love the package about the microphone and the dollar. That's enjoyable as a viewer to watch!
Improvements: There seemed to be a black frame from the anchor to the package. In the first package, show me more b-roll of a yearbook. I find the b-roll of just hallways and the ceiling strange. There is a weird amount of space between the anchor and the right side where all the windows are. I would either zoom in or have the anchor step over if you want the wall of windows in the shot. By starting the package with, "This past month," you instantly date your story. Always be thinking how you can move the story forward. Is there always music playing when a package starts? I think this takes away from the reporter.

Positives: Great job editing the newscast and packages Anchor had great on-air presence
Improvements: Very minor- don't start packages in black like the one on senior quotes I was confused about the basketball montage in the middle of the newscast. If it was from a specific game I would've included who they played and who won.
