- 3/16 8:02 pm - I really liked the concept, but I didn’t get sucked into the story. I liked the tv character, because I understood his role in the story. I never was really sure of the other two characters because at times I felt like they were trying to be honest in a gentle way, and in other points they sounded like they had no faith in him whatsoever. I would have loved to see them each have that unique characteristic that defined him (like the tv character was there to tell it like it is. I think you have a good handle on using music to help build the suspense, and you kept your camera shots moving and fresh considering the majority of this shoot took place in a small space. I guess I was wondering what was happening next an exiting shot of the character walking alone down an empty sidewalk, or would he end up socializing – I will never know but if the story is about him, you should at the minimum tease your audience as to whether he grew from the “conversation” or will revert back to his old ways. It was easy to end it where you did, but your audiences will want to know. Letting your audience figure it out for themselves might seem like a creative thing to do, but in this case a little more closure would have been good.
- 3/10 11:57 am - Positives: Good story with interesting characters and plot; audio effects help to differentiate the characters to they each have their own personality; great choice for location of the private 'club house' of the introvert. Music bed does a solid job of supporting the rising tension and climax of the story. Areas for improvement: Some camera movement is a bit unsteady; avoid too many over-the-shoulder shots in a row :50--1:04. Closing shot is just a bit wobbly, but frames the title nicely.
