Judge 1

Positives: Very clever idea and well written script. You were very thorough in expressing the step-by-step basic flirting techniques of Hot Ape. It was presented well. The use of an expert to describe the steps was very effective. Good selection of backgrounds for the green screen shots.

Improvements: You can use medium shots and closeups to really help your audience feel the emotions of you actors. This would help to make it more apparent that the girl is beginning to gain confidence in her flirting techniques. Think about the use of different camera angles. Most of the shots in your project are at eye level. I'm not suggesting that you use extreme angles, just just lowering or raising the camera angle where appropriate will help to generate some very interesting results.

Positives: For this piece, the use of green screen worked well and the sequence of events flowed together to tell a strong story.

Improvements: One aspect that could use improvement is the sound throughout this piece. There was a lot of background noise and the host/narrator was not clear. Also, the music could have supported this piece but instead fell flat. In regard to camera work, the background of the host seemed out-of-place and irrelevant to the topic. There could have also been more of a variety of camera shots and angles to support the topic. Instead, most of the shots were stationary and too close.
