  • 3/16 8:07 pm - You have a lot of beautiful and very intentional shots in this piece but I will be honest I had to watch it a couple of times to figure out what was going on. I am sure it was very clear to you as you were creating it, but as a first-time viewer I was just trying to figure out who all the characters were and what their roles were. Where there two guys competing for her attention? Was the girl going to her girlfriends to tell her all about her new love? Who was the guy on the motorcycle and was I supposed to recognize his role? In a silent film it is hard to understand the piece everyone has to form the overall picture, so you have to be very intentional to make the audience aware. I saw attempts at that in certain scenes, especially when they were at the theatre, but I would have liked to seen more. I also was confused because at first, I didn’t know what was on the white paper she kept getting, I never saw a close up of it so I was left wondering (mostly because peer don’t usually buy the movie tickets in advance and give them to one another – again the challenge of the silent film). Like I said I didn’t get it the first time I watched it because I didn’t understand how all the elements and clues to the story came together. I think you have a good understanding of how to use videography, sound, and editing well, just make sure your audience can follow the story and you will have something great.
  • 3/10 12:05 pm - Positives: Nice story with a variety of locations, great closing titles. Areas for improvement: Story needs a bit more of the backstory between the girl and the boy she's attracted to, to create the basis for "THE CHOICE". What's the point of the electric bike at 1:01... distracting audio.
  • 3/9 7:44 pm - music a bit much unless it was 80s themed; I like the end with the popcorn and the title; camera quality is good
