  • 4/23 8:51 am - I liked this narrative and the anticipation that you built leading into the auditorium. The music switch also created an effective tone for the scene in the auditorium. I didn't like the use of the music stand as a podium though- it seemed a bit unrealistic. I would use an actual podium or nothing at all. For me, the call to action for the view of this video was not clear- do you want us to donate money? Make sure you are specific with what you want your viewers to do after watching this video. Your energy in your actors was also great! I felt like their performances were believable and you did a good job casting this project.
  • 3/7 3:21 pm - Good audio and variety of shots. Well edited together with the story...….until the end. I didn't quite get it and the text went way too fast. Why were they in the auditorium? Were the two on stage the YouTuber and engineer? Were they showing the leaf to raise the money, or was it something else?
  • 3/2 9:24 pm - Keepers: Effective PSAs have to creatively introduce a problem, provide statistics as to why the problem is important and then provide a pathway for help or for more information. I think this video does two of those things well. The statistics and ending card are clear and easy to read. The camera shots were clearly planned and executed well. Lighting and exposure of shots looked good. Improvements: I'm not sure how the problem is being creatively introduced. Perhaps I just didn't get it, but I'm not sure what the event was at the school or why the silent film aspects were chosen. It didn't clearly speak "arbor day foundation" to me. It wasn't clear to me how the first 2/3rds of the PSA connected to the overall message of supporting Arbor Day. Sorry!
