  • 4/29 3:56 pm - Pro - Very soothing imagery. Compositional elements are strong and camera movement is silky smooth. Focus control is good and the exposure is consistent throughout the piece. The stronger shots are the wide's of the tanks because they offer variety and help to refresh the rhythm. Cons - The shots and execution overall was very solid. In terms of a complete reel, this piece's biggest weakness is the singular subject. Although each shot was executed well and control over movement, composition, exposure, focus were all clearly demonstrated, there is no evidence of working in different lighting conditions beyond what the Aqua Lounge offers, nor subjects beyond tanked fish. This reels does a great job demonstrating wildlife capture in a controlled environment.
  • 4/6 1:02 pm - Interesting idea to capture multiple different aquariums- would love to have seen more establishing shots from the beginning to give context as well as understand the different environments in which you were shooting. Some had clear artificial lighting while others with natural lighting showcased your ability to use the light in the camera. The focus was soft on a few shots and it really took away from your intent. Good job thinking outside the box in this category.
