  • 4/29 9:17 am - I'm not quite sure this fits as a cinematography reel. A reel should be an example of your best visual work, with little to no technical mistakes that distract or take away from the viewing experience. Shots should support or enhance the storytelling. Not a lot of variety in this project. All of the shots were day interior, with similar lighting conditions. Focus struggled with many shots out of focus, including two key closeups of both the subject and the paper he is writing on. This takes away from the storytelling because the viewers is thinking more about the shot being soft and less about the story trying to be told. When putting together a reel, looking at your best 2 or 3 shots from every project is a good start and work from there.
  • 4/6 12:58 pm - This doesn't seem to fit in the category. The warping of the stabilization is distracting and challenging for the viewer to be directed in their focus. There were more effects used in place of manual manipulation of a camera and light like the category asks for.
